Tim studied Economics at the University of York, graduating in 1997. He has since gained extensive experience in recruitment and executive search across a range of sectors, from investment banking to charities and campaigning organisations.

Story Behind Our Name
Our company is named in honour of two influential individuals who achieved notable impact through intelligence and integrity. Born in 1863, Mary Whiton Calkins was a leading Psychologist and first female President of the American Psychological Association (APA). Calkins was a remarkable scientist and scholar and avid proponent of social justice for women. She published four books and over 100 papers in both psychology and philosophy. John Maynard Keynes was born in Cambridge in 1883 - the founder of modern macroeconomics, Keynes is widely recognised as one of the most influential economists of the 20th Century. He was also a civil servant, Director of the Bank of England and a supporter of women's rights.
