In this newly created role you will:
In this newly created role you will:
- Develop and lead the advocacy programme, create opportunities for broader support of the charity’s work globally
- Develop meaningful relationships with politicians and senior figures across Westminster as well as church, community and industry stakeholders
- Oversee and develop an advocacy programme with schools and young people
- Set up and manage a new local volunteer advocacy programme
- Work with the wider Media and Advocacy team to prepare for a major anniversary in 2018
- Line-manage and develop an Advocacy Officer.
Candidate:
- Solid experience of working in an advocacy or public affairs role, ideally for a charity
- In-depth knowledge of the working s of Westminster, Whitehall and the wider political environment
- Consummate networker and relationship builder
- Comfortable and confident engaging with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Able to think creatively and strategically and able to enthuse and inspire others.
