- Their members are current and former directors of adult care and senior staff including Principal Social Workers (PSW).

Prior knowledge of Adult Social Care, Health and Care or Local Government isn't a requirement - albeit appreciated.
This is a flexible, largely home-based role, with some travel required to our London office, meetings and events. They are flexible and open to a number of different contracting arrangements.
This role is a temporary appointment pending the development of a new communications and influencing strategy for the organisation. It will be for a minimum of two months, with possibility of extension.

- Improve their website so that it has engaging content, that’s timely and easy to find
- Build connections through social media channels so they’re part of and leading more conversations about the change needed in social care
- Keep in touch with their members, social care leaders across England, through email and other digital channels
- Work with their regions and members to build film and designed content about social care’s impact and crucially empowering people who draw on social care to have a voice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the website, uploading content and ensuring all public-facing web-pages are working properly, up to date and accessible to a wide range of audiences, answering user queries
- Oversee growth and development of the website, providing data-based oversight and improvement proposals to ensure it reflects the work and objectives of the organization
- Develop engaging written, visual and video content
- Manage and grow the reach of their social media channels, ensuring they are part of key conversations about social care and creating engaging digital content including blogs, video, podcasts etc
- Monitor social media analytics to evaluate impact and reach and share with staff and members through media round-ups and bulletins
- Manage digital communications to support and engage the different groups of members including preparing a weekly bulletin
- Manage, maintain and develop CRM database systems (Salesforce), Event Management platform (Eventsforce), and internal communications and mass-mailing platform (Mailchimp)
- Develop and update process notes for the website and other digital communications activities to ensure other members of the team can provide cover
- Support the delivery of key projects and events.
Candidate:
- Experience of website management and maintenance, including knowledge of content management systems (knowledge of Umbraco an advantage)
- Experience creating engaging website content (written and visual)
- Experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) including digital editorial and/or journalism and digital analytics
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and proof-reading
- Knowledge and experience of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You Tube and LinkedIn platforms, including the creation of organic content and paid for campaigns
- Ability to synthesise complex information into simple but accurate content
- Ability to design and create strong visual content suitable for different social media channels and a range of audiences, video editing skills an advantage
- Team-player who shares their knowledge and supports colleagues
- Proactive and organised self-starter able to use their own initiative and make tasks their own
- Able to engage with a wide range of people including social care colleagues, people who draw on social care and their carers.
