Head of Communications, Campaigns and Advocacy

Central London with remote working (meet ups once every six weeks) + some international travel
£51,000 per annum + benefits 
Full time (0.8 FTE considered), permanent

​International healthcare membership organisation 
​Role:

​In this fantastic, strategic role you will:
​
  • Lead on the development, implementation and analysis of strategies for information, communication and campaigning. Prepare project plans and budgets and ensure these are aligned with the organisation’s mission and strategy
  • Lead regular planning and coordination meetings for the organisation’s communications, driven by audience, to meet key programme, information, advocacy and fundraising goals
  • Represent the organisation on a communications team of member organisations supporting the work of an international research initiative
  • Build and foster productive working relationships with key communication, information and campaigning staff from across the membership
  • Line-manage the Communications and Campaigns Manager and the Communications and Campaigns Officer. 
​Candidate:
​
  • Significant experience of developing and delivering communications strategies, ideally within an international context
  • Proven track record in planning and implementing integrated, multi-stakeholder campaigns
  • Adept at relationship building and influencing with stakeholders from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Creative and innovative approach to communications, proven ability to communicate complex and technical information in an accessible way
  • Confident, persuasive manner, able to inspire and mobilise colleagues and stakeholders on a global basis
  • Language skills in Spanish, French, Portuguese or Arabic would be desirable.
