Head of Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs (Interim)

​Role:

In this role you will:
​

• Provide dynamic leadership and management of the organisation’s policy, research, campaigns and public affairs activities
• Represent the organisation externally, through the media, at meetings and high-level events
• Ensure successful implementation of the organisation’s public affairs and campaigning strategy, particularly around social care and employment
• Lead the development of public policy to achieve long-term legislative and societal change
• Manage the budget for the policy and campaigns team.

​Candidate:
​

• Proven ability to influence at senior level across Government and Westminster
• Demonstrable substantial experience working in a senior external affairs role at a large charity of public sector organisation
• Proven understanding of the political, legislative and regulatory environments both at national and local government levels
• Demonstrable ability in the development of public policy positions, production of research, engagement and local and national campaigning.
