In this role you will:
- Provide dynamic leadership and management of the organisation’s policy, research, campaigns and public affairs activities
- Represent the organisation externally, through the media, at meetings and high-level events
- Ensure successful implementation of the organisation’s public affairs and campaigning strategy, particularly around social care and employment
- Lead the development of public policy to achieve long-term legislative and societal change
- Manage the budget for the policy and campaigns team.
Candidate:
- Proven ability to influence at senior level across Government and Westminster
- Demonstrable substantial experience working in a senior external affairs role at a large charity of public sector organisation
- Proven understanding of the political, legislative and regulatory environments both at national and local government levels
- Demonstrable ability in the development of public policy positions, production of research, engagement and local and national campaigning.
