​Role:

In this role you will:
​
  • Lead the development of policy positions across the organisation and to ensure a coordinated approach across England, Scotland and Wales
  • Develop, implement and lead a policy influencing strategy that builds and strengthens relationships with key policy makers and other stakeholders and increases the organisation’s lobbying influence
  • Work with the Head of Research to influence the development of evidence base to support the policy influencing programme
  • Work with the Head of Campaigns to ensure policy programme helps to raise public awareness
  • Represent and speak on behalf of the organisation, including in high-level meetings, workshops, training and in the media
  • Manage, supervise and oversee the professional development of two Policy Officers.
​Candidate:
​​
  • Extensive experience of policy influencing, including parliamentary and government support and developing a policy influencing programme that has achieve changes in policy and practice
  • Experience of working in a policy or parliamentary related environment and an excellent understanding of the policy making process and environment across the UK
  • Ability to develop good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and influencers
  • Excellent judgement and strong analytical skills, with experience of applying these in a policy environment
  • Strong writing and communications skills - able to engage with different audiences and produce clear, concise guidance and briefings.
