In this role you will:
- Lead and implement the organisations’ global research programme and lead the development of the advocacy and access work as part of their five-year strategy
- Convene and facilitate research staff within member organisations globally to collaborate on research initiatives and projects
- Build consensus and lead the membership in advocating for access to treatments and improved healthcare
- Support senior management in strategic planning, governance, membership relations and external engagement
- Lead and develop a small team.
Candidate:
- Educated to doctoral level preferably in biomedical sciences, clinical practice or health policy development
- Experience of developing and implementing strategy to influence and advocate for change (in policy, practice or behaviour) ideally in an international context
- Confident, persuasive manner, able to inspire and mobilise colleagues and stakeholders on a global basis, motivate and develop staff and consultants (often remotely)
- Experience of coordinating complex collaborative, multi-based projects across all aspects (planning, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and learning)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to grasp scientific research and complex policies. Good communication skills, able to present research findings to a range of audiences.
