Role:
The biggest environment and wildlife coalition in England is looking for a skilled media and campaigning professional who can give a strong joint voice for nature at a crucial time. This is a fantastic newly created opportunity to join an ambitious team working with 70 member organisations to protect and enhance wildlife, landscape and the marine environment.
You’ll be working with experts across the sector to deliver widespread campaigning, hard-hitting headlines and engaging social content. As well as acting as a lynchpin in their direct relationship with media, you’ll play a key campaigning role on a major project to support and influence Government to deliver its legally-binding target to stop nature's decline by 2030.
This is a unique and exciting role for someone with a keen eye for a story to turn vital policy and scientific thinking into an unmissable media narrative and eye-catching campaigning. You will be playing a big part in a small organisation while also delivering invaluable collaborative work on behalf of their network of 70 members. You’ll be working with household names, as well as a range of dynamic nature and animal welfare charities large and small.

Media know-how, great writing, and excellent communication are more important than having previous experience in the environment sector. If you are passionate about the natural world and have fantastic traditional and social media knowledge, alongside campaigning skills, then we would love to hear from you. This role would suit someone who is currently media or campaigns officer/senior officer within a charity or non-profit organisation and looking to progress.

- Knowledge of relevant national press and social media with established networks in national political/environmental or other relevant media
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- (Desirable) A track record in campaigning
- (Desirable) Content and material design and production skills
- (Desirable) Knowledge of commissioning or producing video content or other digital assets.
