In this role you will:
In this role you will:
- Work with members of the policy team to lead, develop and implement a policy and research programme and influencing strategy
- Act as internal expert on key policy issues including health and wellbeing, poverty, communities and inclusion
- Provide well-evidenced briefings on key issues as required, briefing senior colleagues for events and opportunities
- Represent the organisation’s view on public policy externally including speaking at policy events, seminars and APPGs
- Produce high-quality policy outputs such as research reports, consultation responses and web content
- Line-manage a Policy and Research Officer.
Candidate:
- Sound knowledge of relevant policy areas including health and wellbeing, poverty, communities and inclusion
- Thorough understanding of policy development and experience in a research or policy making environment
- Ability to prioritise and balance large number of on-going tasks and organise work effectively to meet deadlines
- Ability to synthesise large quantities of information into concise, persuasive reports
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
