Policy Manager (Interim)

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Full time, 6 month FTC (possibility of extension) immediate start strongly preferred

​Role:

In this role you will:
​

• Work with members of the policy team to lead, develop and implement a policy and research programme and influencing strategy
• Act as internal expert on key policy issues including health and wellbeing, poverty, communities and inclusion
• Provide well-evidenced briefings on key issues as required, briefing senior colleagues for events and opportunities
• Represent the organisation’s view on public policy externally including speaking at policy events, seminars and APPGs
• Produce high-quality policy outputs such as research reports, consultation responses and web content
• Line-manage a Policy and Research Officer.

​Candidate:
​

• Sound knowledge of relevant policy areas including health and wellbeing, poverty, communities and inclusion
• Thorough understanding of policy development and experience in a research or policy making environment
• Ability to prioritise and balance large number of on-going tasks and organise work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to synthesise large quantities of information into concise, persuasive reports
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
