​Role:

In this fantastic post you will: 
​

• ​Lead and manage the organisations’ policy development activities focusing specifically on health and social care
• Support the development of evidence-based policy arguments and good practice in policy development on key issues relevant and informed by those living with the condition
• Together with colleagues manage the day to day operational delivery of the policy team, ensuring quality control and operational oversight of the policy development process
• Ensure collaboration with key teams and key stakeholders in order to raise the profile of the condition and the organisation within the wider health and social care agenda in pursuit of policy objectives
• Line management of two Senior Policy Officers.​

​Candidate:​
​

• ​Proven experience of achieving policy change and influencing policy makers at a UK, national or local level
• Broad knowledge of health and social care policy issues and their impact on people living with long term conditions
• Proven experience of managing successful policy development initiatives, including commissioning social research, publishing policy-led reports and other outputs
• Experience working in partnership with external partners in complex public policy environments.
