In this role you will:
- Manage PR projects, lead the organisation’s day-to-day press activity and implement the delivery of the public relations strategy
- Line-manage and be responsible for the professional development of a team of five officers and a celebrity liaison manager
- Represent the organisation externally to journalists, media contacts and relevant stakeholders
- Provide high-level media briefings to the Chief Executive and spokespeople for national media interviews.
Candidate:
- Extensive experience of developing and implementing national press strategies and proven experience of using a range of tactics, with demonstrable success
- Strong understanding of the UK media and how to influence the media agenda
- Ability to build relationships with senior leaders and advise them on reputational risks
- Ability to bring together staff working in different disciples, to develop and implement press strategies
- Line management or team management experience.
