In this role you will:
- Develop, lead and execute the strategic direction of the campaign’s Welsh public affairs work by meeting with senior politicians, monitoring public policy and political developments in Wales and preparing policy briefings
- Develop and deliver the public affairs element of a dedicated Welsh communications strategy in partnership with the Director, Programmes Manager and other nationally-based colleagues
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, including roundtable discussions with partner organisations, public engagement, social media and communications and volunteers
- Develop and deliver a research programme to create a robust Welsh evidence base to inform decisions and monitor progress
- Represent the campaign on public platforms and in the media, acting as a spokesperson across the Welsh media
- Manage, supervise and oversee the professional development of staff and volunteers.
Candidate:
- Ability to read, write and speak Welsh fluently
- Demonstrable experience of delivering successful projects, programmes or campaigns on time and on budget
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Welsh politics, current affairs and policy making mechanisms
- Strong networking skills and experience as well as proven track record of stakeholder relationship management
- Ability to gather evidence, present complex issues and utilise research in public affairs and communications work.
