Role:
In this role and together with the Head of Research you will:
In this role and together with the Head of Research you will:
- Facilitate the organisation’s work towards their strategic aim for greater scientific understanding and ways to treat and prevent the condition
- Manage the organisation’s own projects, collaborations and networks on a global basis and organise meetings and events linked to these scientific activities
- Manage and develop their international research grants, fellowships and alumni programmes
- Work with the member networks to develop global statements and guidance on issues of research and clinical importance
- Prepare project plans and budgets; work with other colleagues to produce high quality content for newsletters, websites and other resources.
Candidate:
- Educated to degree level in biomedical or life sciences plus a relevant PhD or equivalent experience of biomedical or clinical research
- Proven experience of developing and implementing research strategy, ideally with an international perspective
- Proven experience of relationship building, facilitation and influencing. Ability to nurture and develop diverse groups on collaborative international research initiatives
- Demonstrable ability to communicate complex scientific information in an accessible way and produce high quality content
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills, ability to manage a busy and varied schedule and be effective under pressure.
