In this fast-paced post you will:
- Work with the team to support the implementation of the organisation’s research and analysis agenda and raise the profile of members
- Conduct analytical projects in support of organisational aims and advise on the implications of findings and trends
- Respond to requests for information and advice externally and internally in an appropriate and timely manner
- Liaise with members and sector experts to support research, policy, member engagement and communications priorities.
Candidate:
- Strong knowledge and experience of social research methods, social policy and standard research/analytical software packages (Excel, SPSS, Survey Gizmo)
- Knowledge and experience of questionnaire design and evaluation techniques
- Proven ability to manipulate and interpret data (with an awareness of government datasets). Ability to summarise research output accurately and concisely with good attention to detail
- Ability to build clear, persuasive evidence-based arguments about complex issues to promote specific viewpoints
- Ability to prioritise changing workloads and an understanding of how research and evidence support policy, media and communications work.
