​Role:

Our client is working on a number of classroom evaluations looking into teaching methods and leading the Covid19 recovery as part of the National Tutoring Programme; a scheme that provides additional, targeted support for children and young people in schools who have been most affected by disruption to their education as a result of the pandemic.
 
In this newly created role you will:
 
  • Design and lead the analysis of large-scale education Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) and Quasi-Experimental Designs (QEDs) using cutting edge quantitative evaluation methods / econometric techniques to evaluate complex educational initiatives and interventions
  • Work with Project Leaders, Statisticians and Economists to ensure the most robust evaluation is delivered within the budget available
  • Secure external or internal funding for research projects in the UK and internationally through expertise in evaluation design
  • Share findings and contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s visibility objectives
  • Assist Research Directors, the Lead Economist and Heads of topic Centres to create new ideas for research and analysis, and in developing quantitative and econometric methods.
Candidate:​
​
  • ​Degree or equivalent in a subject with a high quantitative/econometric content
  • Strong experience in, and knowledge of, evaluation research and the use of quantitative methods
  • Experienced user of statistical software, for example STATA, SPSS, R, MPlus and MLWin
  • Ability to take responsibility for the quantitative design and analysis within evaluation research projects
  • Effective communicator both verbally and written, with experience of drafting research reports and / or publications as an author.​​
