Role:
Our client is a rapidly growing start-up focused on supporting and assisting refugees and migrants to secure jobs and employment. This important and newly created role will be responsible for developing and leading key aspects of their communications strategy.
This includes proactive and reactive press and PR, digital infrastructure including website, email, social media and paid digital marketing, internal and stakeholder communications, and storytelling and content creation.
Working alongside the Head of Communications and Marketing, the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for building on the reach and reputation of the organisation with a focus on key audience targets. The role holder will take the lead on creating engaging digital content and play an instrumental part in the redevelopment of the website and social media strategy.

In this role you will:
- Increase the organisation’s profile through pro-reactive press and social media
- Write press releases, articles, and statements, for online and print media
- Lead on the project management and delivery of a new website, effectively managing the agency and internal steering group to meet key milestones
- Increase website visibility through effective SEO writing and using the Google Ad Words Grant
- Line-manage the PR and Digital Communications Officer to manage social media accounts day-to-day
- Create a social media strategy to grow supporter engagement
- Develop strategic communications, social media campaigns and digital content that will help further organisational goals, e.g. around key moments and campaigns
- Create an email marketing strategy for all their audiences.
- Manage paid digital marketing activity from conception to delivery. Maximising all digital channels and platforms to increase the reach of our campaigns and supporter engagement
- Support the Head of Communications and Marketing with the development and implementation of charity’s brand refresh.
Candidate:

- A demonstrable interest and commitment to working with marginalised populations
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Proven working experience in digital marketing
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Working knowledge and experience of using website content management systems such as Wordpress
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Strong knowledge, experience, and expertise in a press, PR or communications environment
- Strong understanding of social media management and strategy
- Confidence in communicating complex messaging and translating it into a key messaging that meets audience needs.
- Demonstrable expertise in copywriting for marketing and communications materials
- Excellent project and time management skills, with an ability to apply a high level of attention to detail to all work streams.
- A keen ability to build strong working relationships with journalists, clients and other stakeholders
- A proactive attitude, an ability to work under their own initiative, and effectively time manage a varied workload.
