Role:
Our client is looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to focus on Research and Innovation themes. In this role you will work with some of the country’s best innovators, researchers and business leaders to ensure their experiences inform policy development so that the UK has a dynamic and thriving ecosystem for engineering R&D and innovation. You will lead your team to develop and deliver high-quality evidence-based policy advice that informs and influences policy for the better.
Using both, proven method and innovative techniques you will bring engineering insights to support a thriving and inclusive economy across the whole of the UK. Recent and current issues include:
• Harnessing the UK’s science strengths to secure strategic advantage

• Creating the right conditions for world-beating engineering research
• Creating a policy environment which supports spinouts and start-ups to take great ideas through to commercialisation.
You will enjoy regular interaction with senior stakeholders in both engineering and government while going the extra mile to build their public profile.
